How to Make It
A comforting Middle Eastern–inspired dish of gently poached eggs nestled in a rich tomato sauce infused with warm spices and sweet peppers. Balanced, aromatic, and satisfying, this shakshuka is perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a light meal.

Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and sauté onion and garlic until soft. Add diced red pepper and cook for 2–3 minutes.

Stir in crushed tomatoes, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
Simmer gently for about 10 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Create small wells in the sauce and crack the eggs into the pan. Cover and cook until egg whites are set but yolks remain soft.

Garnish with fresh herbs or microgreens and serve warm.
